Following the visit of H.E. Michael Scott Feeley, Lieutenant of the Western Lieutenancy, last April, Deacon Sir Ryan Adams led a pilgrimage group of members of the Western Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem (EOHSJ) on a visit to Bethlehem University on Thursday, 9 May 2019.

Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray welcomed the group and briefed them on the latest developments on campus.

After a tour around campus, the group had the chance to chat with several students who receive the Gernert, Zuberano and Alma Cella’s Annual Scholarship, which is supported by the Lieutenancy to learn about how Bethlehem University is helping them achieve their dreams.

At the end of the visit, the group members expressed their admiration to what Bethlehem University is doing to help the Palestinian Community.

Bethlehem University thanks the EOHSJ Western Lieutenancy group for taking time to visit its campus and in being part of its mission to create a better future in the Holy Land.

The EOHSJ USA Western Lieutenancy has recently donated seed money for the renovation of Brother Joseph Lowenstein Lecture Hall. Furthermore, the Area Councilors for San Bernardino, Lady Densy and Sir Greg Chandra, are raising funds to sponsor the Reception Area in the John Patrick Cardinal Foley Hall which will house the Tarek Juffali Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences. The sponsorship is in honor of the Most Reverend Gerald Barnes KC*HS, the Bishop of San Bernardino, as he approaches retirement.
