Lewis honors leaders at graduation

Lewis University in Romeoville awarded three honorary degrees at its winter commencement ceremonies, according to a press release from the school.

Lewis recognized the achievements of Diane K. Ballweg, president of Endres Manufacturing Co. Foundation; Brother Peter Bray, vice chancellor of Bethlehem University; and Brent Wadsworth, founder and chairman of Wadsworth Golf Construction Co.            

View Gallery Ballweg is a humanitarian, educator, pilot, world traveler, volunteer and businesswoman, the release said. Wadsworth, a 1947 Joliet Township High School graduate, is a nationally recognized

 expert in the building and restoring of some of the most famous golf courses in the United States. Bray has been a highly dedicated De La Salle Christian Brother for more than 40 years, the release said.

The distinguished faculty address was given Dec. 14 by assistant nursing professor Daisy Sherry. Jodi Steinberg of Crest Hill presented the Lasallian student commencement address on Dec. 15, and Robert Sprunger of Plainfield was honored with the Father Aquinas Colgan Award.
