Department of Physical and Occupational Therapy

In April, five senior physiotherapy students together with BU faculty member Ms. Manar Jaber underwent a 2-week of internship program in Haapsalu Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Estonia. The centre is one of the advanced contemporary neurorehabilitation centres in the Baltic and Nordic countries. The visit would not have been possible without the support of the Haapsalu Town Government who generously hosted the students and their supervisor. The centre arranged an interesting program for the students to practice in various units and attend lectures. Students were very satisfied and grateful to get this chance to be involved in the rehabilitation process using a person-centred approach, which refines their practical skills and expands their knowledge in the neurorehabilitation field.

It should be noted that the first visit was September 2018 which was initiated and coordinated through BU faculty member Dr. Thafer Jarrar and Ms. Kadri Englas from the Centre.
