Meet the Chair

Rev. Iyad Twal is an assistant professor in Philosophy, Ethics and Religious Studies. He has received his PH.D. in  Political Philosophy from the Pontifical University of Lateran in Rome in 2011. Since 2012 he is a member of Bethlehem University’s faculty.

Before his experience in higher education, he has a long experience in teaching and administration of the schools. He was appointed in leadership positions in the local church and was involved in creating and helping in initiatives and institutes to build coexistence, dialogue, peace, and justice, in a society of multi -ethnicities and religious backgrounds. Before being in the chair of Humanities, he was the chairperson of the Religious Studies Department.

With strong dedication in this current role, Fr. Twal is ready to help all students find their own path to fulfillment, learning, and success.
