Meet the Chair

Welcome to the Department of Chemistry at Bethlehem University. Here you will find information on the department’s undergraduate program, the courses offered, faculty research, facilities and various events.

The Department of Chemistry collectively strives to expand the frontiers of chemical knowledge through teaching and research. We provide the opportunity for an undergraduate student to obtain a thorough fundamental knowledge of all the above mentioned fields of chemistry. Our program touches both theoretical and practical aspects in the field of general, analytical, organic, inorganic, physical and quantum chemistry. In addition, laboratory experience is provided in all mentioned fields as well as in spectroscopy and instrumental analysis that are carried out on modern equipment.

The Department offers a major in Chemical Sciences and a minor in Industrial Chemistry. The student who chooses to have minor in industrial chemistry minor is exposed to a wide variety of industrial chemical technologies in the field of detergents, cosmetics, polymers, food, pharmaceuticals and environment. In this way, we provide students a modern and well-rounded education in chemistry, which emphasizes its relevance to many other areas of knowledge. So, students of this program will be equipped with a solid background for future studies in professional or graduate schools.

Graduates of this program easily establish career in research, teaching and otherwise.
