Bethlehem University Integrates Histopathology into Medical Lab Sciences

What we used to see in reputed references is now produced by the Biology Department at Bethlehem University

The Biology Department at Bethlehem University has integrated a unique feature into its Medical Laboratory Sciences major: the integration of Histopathology into the undergraduate curriculum, something not found at other Palestinian universities.

This course emphasizes the importance of Immunohistochemical staining, a vital technique for evaluating human tissues (as shown in Figure 1). Furthermore, the Mycology course incorporates new, cutting-edge techniques for detecting fungi in clinical samples. These techniques utilize special staining methods that allow the fungi to “glow in the dark” (Figure 2).
