On Tuesday, 17 January 2023, the senior Physiotherapy students exhibited their adaptive equipment made under the supervision of Mr. Ibrahim Salhab, Clinical Coordinator and Supervisor.

The equipment has been designed and made for specific clients in the community as part of the adaptive equipment course held at Lifegate Rehabilitation, Beit Jala.

There was also a selection of equipment for use with clients at different center’s with the emphasis on aiding both the client and therapist. Many physiotherapists suffer work related injuries when positioning and moving clients, so creative ways of successfully achieving clients goals, whilst at the same time reducing risk factors for therapists injury through the use of equipment were displayed. All the equipment was made from recycled materials, reducing the cost, and keeping the environment in mind.

The Department of Physical and Occupational Therapy thanks Lifegate for the continued ongoing partnership for education and service to the community.
