Br. Dominic Smith, F.S.C., former Library Director (1997-2007) of Bethlehem University and Development Associate of the Bethlehem Foundation died in the United States on January 29, 2023.
On 03 February 2023, Bethlehem University community celebrated a memorial Mass for the soul of Br. Dominic Smith in the Chapel of the Divine Child at Bethlehem University. Executive Vice President, Rev. Dr. Iyad Twal presided over the Mass while Fr. Peter du Brul, S.J. gave the homily. Br. Dominic was a silent worker and a faithful Brother serving the Lord.
In 2008, he moved to the USA to work with the Bethlehem University Foundation staff in Washington D.C. as Development Associate.
Br. Dominic was a De La Salle Christian Brother (of the District of Eastern North America) for over 60 years and served in Lasallian high schools in the United States.
He left behind a great legacy as a person of faith, dedicated service, and Christian humility.
