The Zbierski Library Director, Ms. Elizabeth D’souza, staff, and Turathuna team visited the Antonian Charitable Society, a house for the elderly, on Tuesday, 21 March 2023, and had a very warm welcome there.
Mary who lives there is gifted with a special voice besides speaking 5 languages. She danced and sang in all languages adding extra joy to the elderly in general and especially to those who are bed-bound.
Simple presents were given to 30 elderly along with sweets. The team spent some valuable time conversing with them, lit up their day, and brought this very special warm feeling of Mother’s day.
It was a memorable occasion for them and for us as well.
