In the rich tapestry of Bethlehem University’s legacy, few figures embody its mission—to prepare graduates of character, committed to the common good—more powerfully than Dr. Nabil Kukali, a distinguished alumnus of the Class of 1979. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Dr. Kukali began a journey rooted in the values of integrity, service, and truth that define our institution.
Today, he stands as a beacon of Palestinian academic excellence and civic responsibility. A highly respected scholar and public opinion expert, Dr. Kukali is the founder and director of the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion (PCPO)—an institution that provides critical data and analysis to decision-makers in the public, private, and non-governmental sectors across the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.
Under Dr. Kukali’s leadership, PCPO has become an invaluable source of insight into the thoughts, hopes, and concerns of the Palestinian people. His work, which has influenced national policy, international perspectives, and academic research, exemplifies the power of informed dialogue in shaping a just and compassionate society.
Yet, his contributions extend beyond the field of research. Dr. Kukali has cultivated a legacy through his family—his sons and daughters, all of whom are also proud graduates of Bethlehem University, demonstrating the enduring impact of a Bethlehem University education.
His son, Adham Kukali, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bethlehem University in 2015 and currently serves as the General Manager at Kukali Money Exchange and Transfers. He also holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Al-Quds University (2017).
Aram Kukali, another son, followed in his father’s footsteps, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bethlehem University in 2023. He is currently the Branch Manager at Kukali Money Exchange and Transfers.
His daughter, Rana Kukali, graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Bethlehem University in 2012. She currently works as a Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) at Caritas Baby Hospital and is a part-time lecturer at Bethlehem University. Rana also holds two master’s degrees: a Master’s Degree in Teaching Methods from Al-Quds University (2018) and a Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics from Birzeit University (2014).
Another son,Dr. Elias Kukali, also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bethlehem University. He furthered his studies with a Master’s degree in Public Opinion and Polling from the University of Essex, United Kingdom (2010), and a Ph.D. in Communication Science from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany (2016).
Their collective achievements are a living testimony to the enduring impact of a Bethlehem University education—one that shapes not just professionals, but ethical leaders and compassionate citizens.
Dr. Kukali’s recent message of condolence following the passing of Pope Francis beautifully reflects the spirit of our alumni community: a deep commitment to peace, dialogue, and solidarity. His words honored the Pope’s legacy of mercy and inclusion, echoing the very mission that animates Bethlehem University.
The success of Dr. Kukali—and the legacy he continues to build through his family and work—is a direct reflection of the generous support of our benefactors. It is your commitment that enables us to continue forming students who think critically, act ethically, and lead with empathy in a world that so urgently needs them.
As we celebrate the remarkable achievements of Dr. Nabil Kukali and his family, we invite you to see in their journey the ripple effect of your investment in our shared mission. Together, we are not only educating students—we are shaping the future of Palestine and the wider world.
Thank you for believing in the mission of Bethlehem University. Thank you for helping us prepare leaders like Dr. Kukali—leaders of character, guided by conscience, and devoted to the common good.
