Bethlehem University Hosts the First American Heart Association Training Center Faculty Course in Palestine

Bethlehem University has proudly hosted the first American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Center Faculty (TCF) course in Palestine, marking a great milestone in clinical education and life support training.

Held at the University’s Clinical Simulation Center (BUCSC), the two-day course brought together 11 participants from different institutions. Traditionally, this advanced-level course has only been held outside of Palestine for more than 20 years, making this achievement especially significant.

A Training Center Faculty (TCF) is a senior-level AHA instructor who plays a critical role in mentoring, evaluating instructors for recertification, ensuring the quality of training delivery, and maintaining compliance with AHA standards.

Mr. Nouraldin Talbishi, a faculty member and the Clinical Simulation Coordinator at the Faculty of Nursing & Health Sciences at Bethlehem University, and BLS AHA Regional Faculty title for the AHA in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, emphasized the importance of this achievement:

“This milestone reinforces Bethlehem University’s commitment to excellence in clinical education and life support training.”

Bethlehem University continues to advance professional training opportunities that have a far-reaching impact on healthcare education. Two Bethlehem University faculty members participated in the course and have successfully completed Phase One of becoming TCF-certified, positioning them to advance further in the certification process.

This significant step reflects Bethlehem University’s commitment to fostering excellence in education, supporting professional growth, and contributing to the advancement of healthcare in Palestine and the wider region.
