Book Club Brings Together Passionate Readers at Zbierski Library

On Thursday, 18 September 2025, the George Nasra Center for Palestinian Heritage – Turathuna at Zbierski Library was filled with energy and enthusiasm as Bookworm Haven welcomed a new group of book lovers for its latest gathering.

Ms. Elizabeth Dsouza and Ms. Sana Salsa opened the session with a warm welcome, creating an inviting atmosphere for participants to share their love of reading. The meeting began with introductions, as each participant reflected on how they first caught the “book craze.” The responses were spontaneous, heartfelt, and full of excitement.

Each participant also brought along a book to share, creating a diverse mosaic of genres and themes. The selections included:

  • Demons by Fyodor Dostoevsky
  • The Double by Fyodor Dostoevsky
  • Beloved by Toni Morrison
  • Les Misérables by Victor Hugo
  • Little Death by Mohammed Hasan Alwan
  • Happiness Is an Inside Job and Why Am I Afraid to Tell You Who I Am? by John Powell

The lively discussion inspired fresh insights and meaningful connections, with time slipping by unnoticed as the group engaged in deep reflection and exchange.

Bookworm Haven is quickly becoming a vibrant hub at Bethlehem University for passionate readers and lifelong learners. The session concluded with an invitation to all: don’t miss our next gathering—come discover new worlds, fresh perspectives, and the joy of exploring books together!

Special thanks to everyone who contributed to making this gathering so engaging and memorable.
