Bethlehem University’s Brother Vinicent’s Melhem Center for Arabic Language for Foreigners (BVMC) organized a cultural activity aimed at international students, to support cultural immersion in Arab customs in general and Palestinian traditions in particular through a culinary-tasting and hands-on introduction to customs and traditions.
On Wednesday, 15 October 2025, the group of students prepared and cooked several traditional dishes, including dishes called “Shakshuka” and “Baba Ghanouj”, “Fava Beans”, alongside a table featuring olive oil, black and green olives, and thyme.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange stories and experiences among students of diverse nationalities and to discover the authentic Palestinian flavors in an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect.
More similar events are planned for the future students who registered for the Spring and Summer semesters of 2026, in order to enhance cultural exchange and enrich dialogue among cultures worldwide.
