On Thursday, 6 November 2025, Bethlehem University’s Student Ambassadors had the privilege of participating in an inspiring workshop led by Lubnah Shomali, a renowned Palestinian human-rights advocate and expert in refugee rights.
The session explored the challenges faced by Palestinian refugees, the power of hope and resilience, and the importance of advocacy and civic engagement. Lubnah’s insights and personal experiences sparked meaningful discussions, deepening the ambassadors’ understanding of the complex realities of displacement and the role they can play in fostering justice and solidarity.
Chantal Awad, speaking on behalf of the Student Ambassadors, shared her appreciation for Lubnah’s contribution, noting that the workshop was “an enlightening and empowering experience, strengthening our commitment to serve and advocate for our community with knowledge, empathy, and courage.”
