The Physiotherapy Program at Bethlehem University hosted an enriching lecture focused on disability rights, community-based rehabilitation, and the vital role rehabilitation professionals play in shaping inclusive policies on Thursday, 27 November 2025. The session featured Ms. Dania Odeh, a Bethlehem University alumna (Class of 2017) and Rehabilitation Technical Officer at Humanity & Inclusion (HI).
During the lecture, students were introduced to the impactful work of one of the world’s leading organizations in the field of rehabilitation. Ms. Odeh shared insights from her professional experience, offering students practical perspectives that complement their academic learning.
This lecture forms an integral part of the Community-Based Rehabilitation (PHTH 313) course, taught by Ms. Mira Amer and Ms. Rana Al Khateeb, and aims to deepen students’ understanding of inclusive rehabilitation models and their significance in strengthening community resilience.
This initiative reflects Bethlehem University’s commitment to preparing competent, socially engaged professionals who contribute to building inclusive communities and advancing disability rights across Palestine. By connecting students with practitioners actively working in the field, the University reinforces its mission to deliver transformative, community-centered education.
