Program Description

Interactive Media is an alternative to traditional media which is based on making contact without making real communication with the audience.

This program employs new technology to produce content that can be used on new media platforms that allow the recipient to interact with the media content instead of just being a consumer of this content.

Interactive Media Program offers theory and practice of new media, that provides students with the chance to get real-world experiences and opportunities to propel them to their media careers, which is based on making and publishing interactive media content.

This program employs modern technology to produce content that can be used on new media platforms that allow the audience to interact with the media content in a modern two-way communication model.

Program Learning Outcomes

Knowledge base:

● Recognize and apply foundational historical context from the field of communication and media studies to an examination of the contemporary world.
● Implement intellectually developed critical thinking skills, creative and imaginative use of communicative forms and technologies, and preparedness for the careers of today and the future.
● Produce work that contributes knowledge and expresses creativity with competent and effective communication skills in media across written, oral, visual, and interactive forms.
● The graduates will also be able to employ new technology efficiently in accordance with professional rules and media science.

● Graduates will be capable media professionals that can work for Palestinian, Arab, and International media agencies, in accordance with the rules and theories of the advanced modern media production.

Skills:

● Learners will gain media production skills: management, writing, editing, filming and technical audio skills.
● How to plan media programs and to create and edit media content professionally in line with media basics.
● Gain critical thinking skills
● They will also learn photography and produce visual content by utilizing digital photography technology and design, and by acquiring skills to utilize this technology and implement it.
● Speech and presentation skills.
● Learners will have the ability to plan and manage time and to design and conduct research in media and design artistic templates for interactive media.
● Develop advanced skills that media companies are looking for, including media innovation and entrepreneurship, marketing and media sales, data analytics, integrated media strategy, and project management.
