Department of Humanities

Our Mission

The Department of Humanities offers students Bachelor degree in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, in addition to courses that cover various disciplines such as philosophy, history, political science, art, and others. The aim is to enrich students’ knowledge of important issues related to the most significant ideas and theories in these fields, as well as the basic principles of knowledge theory and scientific research methods. This is to assist students in enriching their cognitive abilities, knowledge, and human values.

Recognizing that the Palestinian, Arab and international contexts are all undergoing tremendous changes – which at times are often contradictory – the Humanities Department seeks to develop its students interest in their society and other societies, as well as to cultivate and instill a desire for proactive participation in society while respecting the values of freedom equality and social justice.
