The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability at Bethlehem University (PIBS- BU), in partnership with The Galilee Society (GS) and The Palestinian Center for Rapprochement Between People (PCR), and in cooperation with the Environment Quality Authority (EQA) announce holding a training workshop tailored for university students (sciences and humanities) in Palestine and the region on Biodiversity, while touching upon Human diversity. The workshop is part of the three-year project” Unity and Diversity in Nature and Society”- funded by the European Union Peacebuilding Initiative (EUPI), and will be facilitated by Biodiversity specialists from PIBS and EQA, covering the following topics:
- Diversity in nature and society
- Importance of Biodiversity
- Plant biodiversity
- Vertebrate biodiversity
- Invertebrate biodiversity
- Human diversity
- Threats to diversity
- Protected areas management (this part is related to a project in Palestine to enhance management of protected areas)
