“The Lasallian values resonate deeply with me, especially the emphasis on social justice and faith in the presence of God,” expressed Angela Salem, a Student Ambassador at Bethlehem University. “I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this workshop and learn how I can embody these values in my own life and contribute to the Lasallian mission at Bethlehem University,” she continued.

The “Embracing Lasallian Values” workshop for Student Ambassadors, which was held on 29 February 2024, was organized by Ms. Amjaad Musleh, Guest Relations Officer. Brother Mark McKeon, Coordinator of Institutional Values, led the interactive and engaging workshop, highlighting the university’s inclusive and supportive community that fosters personal growth and academic success. The twenty-five Student Ambassadors explored ways to integrate their faith, service, community, and social justice principles into the educational experience at Bethlehem University.

This workshop is part of a series provided to the Student Ambassadors to equip them with the tools and skills needed as they engage with the various groups and dignitaries who visit the university. “This workshop, along with the others, encourages us to be agents of change, promoting justice and equity in our classrooms, campus, and wider society,” said Student Ambassador Francis Rahil.

Reflecting on the contributions of the Student Ambassadors, Amjaad Musleh remarked, “Along with the entire Bethlehem University community, I find the Student Ambassadors to be wonderfully effective in representing the values of the university and the Palestinian culture as they contribute to the shaping of hearts, minds, and lives.”
