Dr. Fadel Alsawayfa, Assistant Professor and Chair of the Early Childhood Education Department in the Faculty of Education at Bethlehem University, published a new book titled “The Road to Found Poetry: Understanding People’s Perceptions and Lived Experiences Creatively”, by Brill Sense.
Dr. Alsawayfa introduces the use of found poetry as an innovative and arts-based research methodology. The book encourages educators, researchers, academics, and students to explore poetry not only as a form of artistic expression but as a means of inquiry and understanding within educational and non-educational contexts alike.
The book provides readers with a detailed guide on how to use poetry in and as research, supported by numerous examples of how found poetry can capture and convey lived experiences in ways that conventional qualitative approaches cannot.
Dr. Alsawayfa’s publication strengthens Bethlehem University’s reputation as a hub for innovative educational research and creative pedagogies.
