Researcher Publishes in Scopus-Indexed Journal

Bethlehem University proudly announces the publication of a new peer-reviewed article titled “Key Drivers of Bank Financial Performance: Insights from the Arab Levant Region” in Banks and Bank Systems, Vol. 20, Issue 2 (2025).

This article appears in a Q1-ranked Scopus-indexed journal, a testament to the quality and global relevance of the research.

The study was authored by Mr. Naji Anton Alslaibi (Bethlehem University, Palestine) as the lead and corresponding author, in collaboration with Dr. Rasha Qawasmeh (Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Jordan), Dr. Husni Samara (University of Valencia, Spain), and Dr. Rafat Mohammad Abualrob (Arab American University, Palestine).

The research investigates key drivers of bank financial performance—including inflation, capital adequacy, and bank size—across 39 banks in Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria from 2017 to 2023. Mr. Alslaibi led the conceptual framework, methodology, and statistical analysis for the study.

This outstanding achievement highlights Bethlehem University’s growing contribution to global scholarship and its commitment to advancing research in high-impact, internationally recognized journals.
