The Office of the Dean of Research and the Research Council organized a webinar on a Swiss initiative that aims at enhancing the Palestinian innovation ecosystem and the opportunities for research development, collaboration, and partnership with the private sector.
Several faculty and staff members attended the webinar which was held virtually via Google Meet on Thursday, 4 February 2020.
Prof. Mazin Qumsiyeh, Director of Palestine Museum of Natural History, and Ms. Suha Handal, Bethlehem Business Incubator Project Coordinator, briefed Bethlehem University community on the Swiss initiative, which was organized by the Representative Office of Switzerland in Ramallah.
They explained the main activities the initiative involved, including a preparatory workshop, a virtual tour, and a Swiss-Palestinian panel discussion.
They also shared the results of the comprehensive report that the Office produced, with a special emphasis on the needs of the ecosystem, available opportunities, and recommendations for possible interventions.
