Bethlehem University’s Dean of Students Office organized its annual Career Day on 1 June 2023. The event, which took place in the university’s auditorium, saw participation from over 60 Palestinian companies and organizations. Dr. Amal Jadu Shakaa, Bethlehem University alumna and the Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, was the guest speaker.

The event received sponsorship from Bank of Jordan, Ooredoo, and the Uniservitate Foundation, underscoring its significance in fostering connections between students and potential employers.

Rev. Dr. Iyad Twal, Executive Vice President of Bethlehem University, highlighted the event’s importance, especially as the university celebrated its golden jubilee. Despite the challenges facing higher education, the university continues to achieve success. Dr. Twal emphasized that in today’s job market, skills and experiences are paramount, making Career Day a vital platform for students to build connections and prepare for their future careers.

Approximately 350 fourth-year students had the opportunity to interact with representatives from a diverse range of companies and organizations, spanning different sectors such as accounting, insurance, hospitality, education, and healthcare. This interaction allowed students to explore potential career paths and gain valuable insights into the job market.

Bethlehem University’s Career Day is a testament to its commitment to preparing students for the workforce and providing them with the connections and knowledge necessary to thrive in their professional lives.
